Hekima University’s Blockchain Vision: Building Africa’s First Tokenized Campus

A bold vision is emerging in Kenya’s education sector as Hekima University positions itself at the center of blockchain innovation. Through a strategic partnership with Crescite Innovation Corporation, the institution is developing a 75-acre campus designed as a real-world example of a tokenized economy.

The project aims to integrate blockchain technology into every layer of its operations from infrastructure financing to research and student engagement. Central to this vision is the creation of Africa’s largest tokenization research facility, focused on developing practical applications for decentralized finance.

Built in alignment with the Kenya Token™ ecosystem, the campus will serve as both a learning institution and a live testing ground for digital asset innovation.

Education leaders say this model could redefine how universities operate, transforming them into hubs for economic and technological experimentation.
